Michael Shilale Architects, LLP (MSA) is in the performance
period of their LEED process. Once sustainable strategies
are identified, LEED requires a rigorous measurement and
verification period. You can follow us and see our solar

Michael
Shilale Architects, reduces potable water use 60%
One of the latest strategies to be implemented here at
MSA, as part of our quest to be the greenest existing
building in Rockland County, is rainwater harvesting.
Around sixty percent of the water we use in our office
buildings is literally flushed down the toilet. Based
upon our initial calculations enough water falls on our
roof each month to flush all our toilets year round.

Project Profile
Homes for Heroes
Michael Shilale Architects, LLP designing Homes
for Returning Veterans
Many
veterans return from service with both physical and
mental challenges. Since our veterans have given so
much to our nation, it is not only our duty but also
our responsibility to provide for those who have
sacrificed so much for us. The Homes for Heroes
project was envisioned to give veterans who have
multiple special needs, homes like everyone else.
