'Greening Your
Home or Business' Free Lecture
Series Begins Oct. 20
The RBA Green Council is
partnering with Rockland County
BOCES to present a free eight
lecture series called "Greening
Your Home or Business" beginning
Monday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. at
BOCES' West Nyack campus on
Parrott Road.
The lecture brings
together a group of industry
experts in every category of
sustainability and will be
hosted by Ed Gray, Rockland
BOCES director of facilities.
Classes on saving energy,
conserving water and reducing
waste will be presented along
with solar power and ways to
make buildings more energy
efficient.
There will also be
specialists from the New York
State Energy Research and
Development Authority (NYSERDA)
to explain how much money is
available to help implement some
of these ideas.
Any home or building owner
can sign up and learn how to
adopt green strategies. There is
a $10 one-time registration fee
for all eight sessions. To
