New York, NY -
Once again Michael Shilale
Architects, LLP (MSA) showed off some of their
recent successes at
the statewide convention for New York State
School Board Association (NYSSBA) members in
New York City. Each year MSA supports
this conference geared to
inform and educate school board members.
The 2015 Building Condition Surveys
are right around the corner and many were
impressed that MSA was able to help North
Rockland Schools implement a 15 million dollar
capital improvement program at almost no cost
to their taxpayers. Bids for the 7
million dollar final phase of this program
were recently opened under budget and ahead of
schedule. Strategically using EXCEL
funding, finding Energy Performance savings
and several other innovative strategies were
implemented to deliver these important
projects at no cost. MSA also took
advantage of the new NYSED protocols that
allowed approval of the project in six weeks
rather than six months.
Over 100 school
board members and staff from districts
throughout the state stopped by to chat with
us and participate in our annual Library Grant
drawing.
This year's winner
of the $250.00 Library Grant goes to Ms.
Jillian Clausen, Trustee from the Peekskill
City School District.
