Michael Shilale Architects, LLP was proud to exhibit
their work for the fourth consecutive year at the
statewide convention for the New York State School
Boards Association in New York. MSA had lots of
exciting news and updates to share with the valued
Board of Education members and Superintendents. We
spoke about the assistance we offer school districts
in completing NYSERDA applications for grants to
make sustainable improvements to their buildings –
we just helped one district secure $30,000!
We also discussed the assistance we can offer with
RESCUE reports, the mandatory building evaluations
that all districts will have to complete in 2010.
Not only do we offer an expert eye for the reports,
but we also perform energy audits with the reports,
helping districts find capital improvements that
they can make at no cost to taxpayers! This can
really help districts improve their energy
efficiency and go green.
MSA was proud to offer a $250 library grant to one
lucky school district. We are pleased to present the
grant to raffle winner Amy Pierno, a board member
from Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District.
We hope the grant serves their library well!
MSA is grateful for the opportunity to meet and talk
to the respected Board Members and Superintendents
that serve New York’s school districts. We look
forward to working with the districts on the journey
to continuous improvement for the buildings and
systems that help our children grow.
