Teaching Family Model Residence

On a sloping site with spectacular views on the edge of the Village of Liberty lies the Teaching Family Model Residence.

This unique residence is a place where children with mental disabilities are supported in their journey from hospital to home.

Two Teaching parents act as surrogate parents providing structure and support for these fragile children.

Space is provided for occasional respite for these Teaching parents who sometimes have children of their own to rear.

One of the first new residences of its kind in New York State, this project hopes to be a model for similar homes.

Three thousand square feet of living space is provided with almost as much storage and garage space on a lower level.
