Michael Shilale Architects, LLP has received a
Design Award for their work on the Paul J. Tendler
Independent Living Center in New Hempstead, NY.
Presented at the Fisher Performing Arts Center of
Bard College, Michael
Shilale, AIA, LEED was pleased to accept this award
at such a spectacular building. Designed by
world renouned architect, Frank Gehry, the Fisher
Center is, according to Shilale, sculpturally magnificant.
The jury commended the Tendler Center for
"elimination of physical barriers, the breakdown of
scale and the attempt to create a “home-like”
environment."
